What practices is it reasonable to expect that EVERY teacher will have in place by the end of the first 1:1 year?
Can we generate a list of tools that everyone should have tried? we need to flesh out the minimum blackboard requirements/lesson planning... by when must everyone have adopted our "netiquette"? what are some ways besides share sessions at faculty meetings that we can learn and grow together effectively? what if a colleague is really struggling--how do we support that colleague/ how can they reach out--to whom???? Do we have to buy a text book on line for teachers to use? We should expect teachers to understand the copyright implications of the content that is posted on line Use announcements for daily assignments. Assignment tools for auto-grading, for remediation. Do homework on time. Customizing F2F assessments for online formats (google-proofing, etc) POosting timeline, due dates, syllabus online What about teachers who teach multiple courses? Do we have a blackboard course for each subject taught Can we figure out activities we do in common within our course to help out each other with our concerns?
